Servers
SFTP
Connect over SSH with a password or your existing ed25519 or RSA key, check the host fingerprint once, then work with the server like any other folder.
FTP
Plenty of web hosts and devices still speak plain FTP. DockBird handles them with a hand-built client that never freezes the window, even during a big multi-file drop.
FTPS
Explicit FTP over TLS with real certificate checking: system roots first, then a fingerprint prompt for self-signed servers, remembered after the first approval.
WebDAV
WebDAV
Point DockBird at any DAV share, from Apache and nginx to ownCloud, Synology, Seafile and Fastmail, and browse it in a pane next to your Mac.
Nextcloud
Paste your Nextcloud address and an app password. DockBird works out the remote.php/dav path itself and shows your files in a pane you can drag to and from.
Object storage (S3 API)
Amazon S3
Sign in with access keys or a profile from ~/.aws, list every bucket the key can see, and treat prefixes as folders you can drag into.
Cloudflare R2
R2 speaks the S3 API. DockBird’s preset knows the endpoint shape and the “auto” region, so you only paste your account ID and an API token.
Backblaze B2
B2’s S3-compatible endpoint works out of the box. Choose the preset, paste an application key, and your buckets show up as folders.
Wasabi
Wasabi is S3-compatible and DockBird knows its endpoints. Pick the region, paste your keys, and drag.
DigitalOcean Spaces
Spaces is S3-compatible. DockBird’s preset supplies the endpoint pattern, so a Space is a folder on your Mac within a minute.
Hetzner Object Storage
Hetzner checks that the signing region matches the location. DockBird’s preset gets that right so your first connection just works.
Scaleway Object Storage
Scaleway is S3-compatible and region-strict. The preset fills in the endpoint pattern and fr-par so you only paste keys.
Linode (Akamai) Object Storage
Akamai’s Linode buckets speak S3. Pick the preset, enter your cluster, paste keys from the Cloud Manager, and browse.
MinIO and other S3-compatible servers
Self-hosted object storage gets the same treatment as the big clouds: custom endpoint, path-style addressing when needed, and a folder view that hides the API.
