Requirements
macOS 15 Sequoia or later. Apple silicon or Intel. About 39 MB of disk space.
What you get
SFTP, FTP, FTPS, WebDAV, Nextcloud, Amazon S3 and eight S3-compatible presets. All of it, from day one of the trial.
Privacy
Sandboxed, credentials in the Keychain, and two anonymous usage signals you can switch off. Read the privacy policy; it lists them exactly.
First five minutes
- Add a server. Press ⌘N, pick a tile, fill in the host and credentials, and click Save. Secrets go straight to the Keychain.
- Connect. Double-click the server in the sidebar. SSH servers show a host key fingerprint; approve it once.
- Pick a local folder. ⌘O opens any folder on your Mac in the left pane. DockBird remembers it for next time.
- Drag. Move files between the panes or from Finder. Watch the transfers bar at the bottom.
- Peek before you pull. Select a remote file and press Space for Quick Look.

Is there a direct download outside the App Store?
Not yet. DockBird ships through the Mac App Store, which gives you automatic updates, Apple’s review, and a one-time purchase tied to your Apple ID so it follows you to a new Mac.
Which macOS versions are supported?
macOS 15 Sequoia and later. Older systems are not supported because DockBird relies on current SwiftUI features.
Does it run on Intel Macs?
Yes. The App Store build is universal and runs natively on both Apple silicon and Intel.
What happens when the trial ends?
DockBird asks you to buy the one-time unlock. Your saved connections and Keychain entries stay in place; nothing is deleted.
